liztorres 0 Posted September 13, 2012 I am about to mail in my application and I am debating whether I should or not. I have been working with a social and claiming to be a US citizen, its just been the easiest to do, I know its bad but I did not the the consequences until just recently. Does anyone think its even worth a shot? I am starting to think its best just not to apply. From what I have been reading online its pretty much a dead end once you have lied about being a citizen. Anyone?
JoseG 383 Posted September 14, 2012 If you have never been convicted of any crime related to use of a false social security number, you should still qualify. You do not need to write down the fake Social Security number anywhere on the application.
dakween21 0 Posted November 7, 2012 Im on the same position also wondering if i shud send in the application but i dont know ... Liz let me knw if you ended up sending it and wat happend
Gezinha 121 Posted November 15, 2012 Do not put any fake ssn numbers you have used, do not put any other names you have used. leave the spaces blank. Say you worked cash the whole time you were here. If no one caught up to you until now, there is no reason why they should find out with an application like this, I think, and they say they will not send this to ICE, so, you should be olay, it is worth a shot. roadrunner11 167 Posted November 15, 2012 Here is the deal. I submitted a letter from my employer stating I had been working there since 2008 until now and I got approved. Working previously without a legal status does not affect you while applying for DACA unless you were convicted of fraud. You are totally fine, they know we have had to work under the table and stuff so just apply. Just remember not to include any fake numbers you used in the past. Best wishes
liztorres 0 Posted November 15, 2012 Thanks for everyone input. I still have not applied. I didn't mention I also have a drivers license and credit cards with that number. It was a number issued to me when I was little not valid for employment but for my dad when he was fixing his papers many years ago.
itzel 336 Posted November 15, 2012 I agree with Jose and Roadrunner on this, just dont put ANYWHERE on the application the fake social security number. Be honest about everything else and you should be fine. Good luck
liztorres 0 Posted November 15, 2012 Well would they see that i had a SS issued already and maybe investigate if it has been used?
itzel 336 Posted November 15, 2012 Well would they see that i had a SS issued already and maybe investigate if it has been used? Im confused...if the SS # was issued to you by the SS administration office, then you should put it in the application. IF its a fake card/#, DO NOT put it... I dont think theyll find it through the biometric check but dont quote me on this...
