It shouldn't take that long to receive your SSN card. Mine came within a week of applying.

It maybe held up due to the number getting input into the system and linked to you. Not sure if it can get denied.

Once you receive it you'll want to apply for your ID/DL at your local DMV.

im on the 5th week waiting to get my SSN, today I went in for the 2nd time to see the status of my SSN, the lady was like you have to wait 4 week , I was like its already been 4 weeks in the 5th week now, now she's telling me that it could take up to 2 months she said that Homeland security still hadn't cleared me , my questions is ...can you get your SSN denied even after your daca has been approved? I cant believe its harder to get a SSN than the actual DACA anybody has any suggestion id be happy to see it , thanks

It shouldn't take that long mine took 1 week or a little more because they "supposedly" had to get my birth certificate translated it just depends on the social security person that you get.  My brother went in last week and he got it printed the next day.  His actual social security card didn't come in till like 3 days after which originally was gonna take 2 weeks.  I say try applying again with somebody different or ask them if you can talk to a different person. Some social security agents can be jerks.

If your birth certificate is not in English, it will be sent for translating by SS, which can delay receipt for up to 8 weeks. They also said that it depends on the how long it takes to verify birth certificates and ucis approvals, etc.
