Someintrntperson 0 Posted June 4, 2014 On May 30,2013 I was approved I waited almost a year and 3 months...my application was at the Nebraska service center. On June 2 I went to one of my local SS Offices to apply for my SSC..I didn't have to wait long to be called on. So when the person was putting in my information into the computer system he told my work authorization card had been put on hold for 10 days I didn't know why and had almost no time to ask since it was almost closing time so I have no idea why it would be on hold. So I wanted to know if any if you have had this type of problem hapoen to you. If its normal then I guess ill just have to wait it out I already wait for approval so this is nothing. Tori 38 Posted June 4, 2014 There's been cases where the EAD has been put on hold and there's been heresay that one should wait 10 or so days before applying for the SSN. It's so that the card is put into the system. I went for my SSN the day after receiving my EAD and there was no issue. The wait is on a case by case basis. itzel 336 Posted June 6, 2014 When I first applied in 2012 they were a bit strict about waiting 10 days to apply for your SS card..I think I waited minimum 4 days.
