Effymaster 0 Posted June 26, 2014 I was approved Daca a while back, April 2013 - I quickly got a credit card from my bank and started building my credit...now that I have a legal job where I am able to afford monthly payments I started researching cars I wanted to finance, it all came down to a Nissan Altima 2011, I went to the dealer, test drove it, I loved it. But the problem was that supposedly the computer didn't accept my SSN since it was a work SSN, and their banks won't accept it...now I m heart broken but was wondering if there is a bank or credit union that will accept my current credit score that I have and my DACA situation and finance? I was reading online that Penfed credit union doesn't care about your legal situation, I was wondering if this was true and if anyone was approved for a loan... Thank you for your time. itzel 336 Posted June 26, 2014 I was approved for DACA in Oct 2012 and had the same problem applying for car loans due to lack of credit. I bought a used car wish cash in hand. I also recommend going to local used car places, they may be more willing to work with you. Hope this helps.
roadrunner11 167 Posted June 28, 2014 I was able to buy a car at a dealership last February but yes the credit check flags our SSN. My advice to you is take your SSN card and pay stubs from work. Show them that your SSN is valid. I had to do that with my sales person because he was nice and talked to the loan people and they were able to verify my social that way.
