chiimika 0 Posted August 29, 2014 Hi everyone! I'm new here, just wanted to say hello to everyone! Also, I have a question; I hope that this error doesn't affect the entire process, but on the application it asks for an Alien number, the problem is I didn't know that on your Employment authorization card listed as "USCIS #" was your "Alien Number". Although, within my letter of immigration (more like a receipt) it shows my USCIS Alien number starting with an "A". My best guess was that, that was the number required for it (so at this time I had already sent my application), a couple of days after I went to finish some paperwork for another job I have applied for, and they asked me why I wrote that number on my I-9, and not the number that is listed on my card... Well anyways, what should I do? I sent in my paperwork to USCIS... Should I call them and correct that error? Or what can be done before it brings consequences? I've been so worried about this after that lady asked me why I placed the wrong number on my application for that job... :/ Your help is appreciated! Thank you for all that you guys do.
