Sgsg_ 0 Posted July 30, 2015 I was approved for my renewal, but this time I didn't received an employment card with my picture. Are we not receiving the card with picture or are we just receiving the employment authorization DOCUMENT?? I'm a little confused on that matter. Also, I live here in Texas, when I applied for a driver license the first time everything went smooth.! But this time, I wasn't able to renew my driver license after it expired , I was told to wait 10 business days for a letter from the dps regarding approval from homeland security! Theresa 63 Posted July 30, 2015 You are suppose to get a new employment authorization card with your picture. It come in a separate envelope sometimes at the same time of within days of each other. Would dmv accept the d-821 approval letter? (this is the Deffered action approval). My friend received them by 2 weeks apart. Sgsg_ 0 Posted July 30, 2015 I actually just called the uscis office and was told that it takes about 30-45 days for the actual card to arrive.! I received the approval notice letter (I-797) on June 30, it's been a month now so I'm just going to wait and call again if if doesn't arrive with that time period. I actually got a job by just presenting my approval notice letter (I-797)! Which is the same letter I presented to DPS, but unfortunately I was not able to renew!!
