3.5 Months After My Biometrics Appointment And Nothing...

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I'm writing to see if you guys can offer me any guidance from knowledge or past experiences that might help me better understand what could be happening.

My brother and I both applied for citizenship this year but at different dates. He lives in Orlando, FL and applied on May and I live in Miami, FL and applied on March.

I got my Biometric appointment for July but because of a conflict on travel dates I did a walk-in on June 2nd and had no trouble whatsoever.

My brother had his Biometrics appointment on early August and 2 weeks later he received the letter for the Interview for today September 17th.  Meanwhile, It's been three months and a half and I have no news on my case and when I use the uscis website to check the status, it still says that my biometric appointment was schedules on May 25th for July 6th.

Any thoughts or ideas??

If you're applying for for DACA you must understand this is not for citizenship.

It's a 2 year permit to legally work in the US and obtain a license.

Also at any time it can be revoked.

If you checked online and it tells you, you have an appointment but you have not received any letter contact USCI

Maybe the system is stuck on your receipt number and they are just busy? I would call them in case you missed a letter or if you need to make an inquiry request. Some people get lucky to get it sooner and no one knows why but for citizenship its taking around 6 months or more from start to finish. Good luck and congratulations on making the decision to be one more citizen that will have a very valuable vote to give others a voice

To submit an inquiry, please visit egov.uscis.gov/e-request or call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283
