I have two questions- Are you applying or did you already get daca? after selling your company youre going to make another buisness?

You have no clue how much I needed to read this! And to see I am not the only one with a hard-working mindset! From the first time I understood what I was and its limitations, it just pushed me down. All through high school, I would get jealous to see all my friends apply at colleges, scholarships, jobs, etc. and here I was more than capable to give it my best but without the right means to do so. No SSN to apply and do something productive, even volunteering for stuff I needed a SSN and it just felt like everything I ever dreamed of was going to stay a dream. Fortunately I found my way in college and started studying History, I want to be a teacher, half-ways through I start feeling down again. I'm thinking "whats the point? when I finish I have to take a certification test and I need to be a U.S. resident/citizen to take the test (this was a Texas school)." I just felt horrible, so much I quit school. I had lost the hopes of finishing school, my parents weren't that supportive that I would get the DACA so they did not even help me try. Luckily, I met my boyfriend and he has been very supportive we moved out here to California, he helped me gather the money and apply, I am currently waiting for an answer, looking for a under the table job, getting an AB60 DL, and trying to get back in school. However, hearing how someone like us was, and is, successful brings me a lot of joy and hope that I, too, will be somebody.

Continue your education to continue your dream because if dream act passes one day TO GET A GREEN CARD, they will be asking for college graduates vs high school for DACA. DACA is the best bridge to get you to Keep going!

Wow I really needed to read this...Just today I was just thinking about giving up. I've been waiting for my deferred action papers for over 3yrs. Finally got an answer and it was an RFE. Been waiting for an answer on that for over 4 months. It's honestly driving me crazy & getting me depressed but reading this really helped me. Thanks man!

My story:

In 1999 my mom left mexico to come to US, what was odd is that all my family members were located in CALIFORNIA, she change her mind and decided to not go to California but to go to South Carolina, a small country state. My mom left me in Mexico with my aunt and cousins. No one will understand how bad i missed my mom when i was just 3 years old, i cried and cried. In 2004 my mom told me she found a great stable job, and bought a house with my own room. She told me she will send money so i can come to her, so my aunt works for the government in MEXICO she somehow got me approved for a visa, i was so happy. Visa only means stay in USA for a certain time. Well i flew from mexico, to USA! I was so happy to finally meet my mom after 4 years. I did not want to leave, she didn't want me to leave so i stayed. I went to school in South Carolina, i was very lucky to have a Puerto Rican teacher! When DACA was approved i was 14, i was very happy... because i knew that i am going to be able to attend college and do many huge things. Right now i am currently in my senior year,talking about colleges is really hard for me now because most of them require a high tuition, also to get accepted for most scholarship you are required to be a citizen.It is really hard for me seeing my friends get accepted to the universities i could possibly get accepted but i do not have the ability to get as much scholarships as them... Also i have to pay OUT STATE TUITION! All i can say is that i am very blessed, everything happens for a reason.I will not give up, and hope no one does.
