dreamer.2012 2 Posted July 25, 2012 Hello.. I came to the us when I was 16 yrs old in 2008 with a tourist visa. I Have only lived in the us for 4 years and a couple of months. I graduated high school here in the us and currently in college. My question is... Will there be a chance or a little hope for me to apply for deferred action.? Will I need a lawyer to help me? Aled 118 Posted July 25, 2012 Hello Dramer.2012, If you've already looked at the the basic requirements, you'll see that one of the prerequisites to be eligible is that you have lived in the U.S five continuous years beginning June 15, 2007. You've also mentioned that you entered the country being 16 years of age. Truth is, if you don't have necessary documents to prove to them that you entered the country at 16 years of age or younger and, that you've lived five continuous years in the U.S than I do suggest you get yourself an attorney. What I believe truly matters, is that you can provide evidence to them that you have physically been here and entered the country at the required age(16 or younger). dreamer.2012 2 Posted July 25, 2012 Thanks!! I do have a proof of arriving here when I was 16.. It's just the age requirements and years of staying here that puts me in a hard spot....
