What to do after the Biometrics Appointment?

Hello Everyone! First off sorry if this question has been asked before on here but I went today to my Biometrics appointment and surprisingly it was really fast. After I was done , I asked one of the workers what I had to do after and she just said "you're done." Im just wondering what happens after the Biometric appointment? I read that you have to check your case online daily to see how it goes and that you will get something in the mail or your email? and does anyone know how long this takes on average? Im sorry if Im asking to much questions , Im just trying to be sure.

After you're done with the Biometrics, the FBI will run a criminal record check and send the results to USCIS. After USCIS gets the check, an adjudicator will look over your case and do a background check and look at the evidence you submitted.

If everything is fine, you will be approved and your EAD will go into production.

If the adjudicator wants to see extra evidence, you will be sent an RFE (Request For Evidence) that will list what evidence the adjudicator wants you to send in.

This can take anywhere between 1-3 weeks.

You can also sign up for Case Updates, which will notify you by e-mail or text of when there is an update to your case.

I HAVE A QUESTION I DID DA BIOMETRICS ON NOV17.. I HAVENT GOTTEN ANYTHING HOW MUCH MORE TIME DO I HAVE TO WAIT JUST WANTING TO KNOW...

REASON WHY.. I LIVE WITH MY MOM N DAD N GIRL N OUR 1YR SON.. IN THE APPT WHERE WE LIVE THERE IS SO MUCH MOLD WE HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING WE COULD TO GET RID OF IT BUT IT SEEMS THAT WATER PIPE ( SIMPLE WORDS ITS APT THAT NEEDS WORK ON) SO MY PARENTS ARE THINKING OF GETTTING A NEW PLACE ALL FVIE OF US BT WE KINDA DONT WANNA MOVE SINCE IM WAITING FOR MY LETTER BT MY MOM IS ASKING ME WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG.

( 6TH N 7TH ALWAYS GOT BAD GRADES N DEN OUT OF NO WHERE IN MY LAST YEAR 8TH I GET 3.30 N GET HISPANIC HONOR ROLL) SO SHE TOLD SHE WASNT GOING TO PUT IN MY RECORD N NO NEED TO SEE A JUDGE FOR ANYTHING. SO IDK IF DAT EVENT IS DA REASON Y OR

I WAS HEADING TO LOS ANGELES N GOT PULLED OVER N DEN ON MA WAY BACK TO OAKLAND FROM LA GOT PULLED OVER AGAIN. N DEN DA RED LIGHT I WAS HEADING TO WORK.. I WAS KINDA LATE HAD TO B DER AT 630AM SO I LEFT HOME LATE TREID TO GET DER FAST BT I GOT A TICKET.. BT EVERYTHING IS PAID N NOW IM GOING TO TRAFFIC SKOOL TO GET IT CLEAR

im seeing this question a lot and so far guys i think im the one who has waited the longest, i sent my request on september 21st, did my biometrics on the 20th of november and got approved on january 7th, so it was a little over 3 months, dont worry you will hear from them the reason why it is taking longer its because holidays got in the way, and their paper work got pilled on, but you will hear from them soon, the minimum time now is of about 4 months, so dont worry just keep your head up and dont let your nerves get the best of you, take it from me, i had lost all hope, but i got approved, God will help us all,

Approved: January 7th 2013

Approval Letter and Work Permit Arrived at my House: January 9th 2013

hi, im new here i just have a couple of questions;

i see alot of you have posted a list of your appointment dates and stuff

 

my question is; after you attend your biometrics appoitnment is there another appointment @ the biometrics office??

im from texas and i see most of you that posted are from California.

 

i went to my appointment for my biometrics on July 25th and still havent recieved anything! just curious! any info helps!

You can check your case status online at uscis.gov with your receipt #. Other than that, it's a waiting game. Good luck to you!
