itzel 336 Posted July 27, 2012 Before this forum was available, one would log in at adreamact.com Ive said it before and I'll say it again, this forum is GREAT, I enjoy being able to converse with fellow dreamers and follow up on news. However, some continue to hide in the shadows, logging in as guests and even though theyve been repeatedly told to log into the forum, they wont and honestly one cant help others if they dont help themselves... Its frustrating too see soo many "guests" confused and pondering about the "dream act". ITS NOT THE DREAM ACT, ITS THE DEFFERED ACT... Does anyone feel the same way about the guest?? sorry...maybe im just ranting because of the call that got canceled today... 1 Admin reacted to this
itzel 336 Posted July 27, 2012 (Guest158 (guest): they call cancelled their lying right?) This statement is what prompted me to rant.. How can someone be soo insensitive to all of us hopeful dreamers, waiting for the big day and say that they canceled their lying? In other words, that this whole event is a charade...its not and honestly if it was a lie, why are you logging on to the website to follow the updates guest 158, youre obviously in the same boat, but if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all.... Too many people have thier own opinion on what they think the memorandum put into effect, or as some people like to call it, excecutive order. I feel that people are going to be scared and not know exactly what to do and how they can register. Too many people also like to ask if the applications is available, and where can they go to get it. Maybe if they read the blogs, commented with questions, or came on the forums, posted a new topic, they would be more educated, but I guess not.
Aled 118 Posted July 27, 2012 I'm the one those people who since the announcement was made, I been keeping myself informed with everything that's going. I use this forum as well as the main site (adreamact.com) to keep me up to date, as well as various other sources. I frequently log on to both sites whenever I'm free, and yes at first it irritated me a bit that even after a month of the announcement, people still seemed to be completely lost asking the same questions, when information has been released all over the news from nearly every source. Most of these people though, are all teenagers. I don't mean to be offensive or anything but that's just how most teenagers are. I just say; "inform yourself". itzel 336 Posted July 27, 2012 I understand your point of view Aled and I respect it. But, like you said you keep logging on to both this forum and adreamact.com. Most of the basics of the Deferred Act are outlined in the artlicles/posts changed daily. Also, not only me but even this forums administrator keeps trying to coax people to come to this forum to get their questions answered. When they keep going back over and over again it gets frustrating. I understand they're teenagers but how many times do you have to be told to log onto the forum to get better answers? Im dont think Im being mean, I think Im being direct and honest. The thing that irritates me the most is that its been MORE than 1 month since this news came out and some still say, "Do I qualify for the Dream Act?" When you tell them "No, its the Deferred Act", some get mad or some get butt hurt. The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome, when obviously its not going to change. If you cant find answers there, why dont they follow the members of this forum's advice and come to this forum to chat and get clear answers?
