When to expect an approval Text?

Recommended Posts

I am patiently waiting for THE TEXT!

What are the hours during the day when we can expect to receive a text from USCIS notifying us of the approval? I understand all four different centers are located in different times zones, however I am sure they all have similar "business hours".

I wish Mario LC. I was at the Nebraska Center. I received my approval text at 445am on October 9th. I also thought they worked under business hours, but it seems they have their "own" schedule...

HI itzel... :) Thanks for your insight! Happy that you are one of the selected few with an approval! A 4AM text would have likely interrupted my sleep for the rest of that morning!

I turn off my phone at night, so It didnt bother me, and I can tell you that waking up to that text, was a bit scary because all the text does is tell you that your case was updated but it was a good day.

Welcome to the forum.

I'm not sure what time they start working, but I believe they close the Service Centers at 5:00 pm.

Sometimes you might get the text at a later time, or sometimes you might not even get a notification at all. Their system is a bit glitchy.

Hours dont seem to matter with the texts/email. What I havent seen or heard is anyone being notified on a Saturday or Sunday.

USCIS does say that this is a pilot program. You do have to sign up specifically to receive texts and emails. That may be why some people are not getting them

The text messages are automated, they simply enter you into the database and the system takes care of the rest. Your application could have been approved long before people received the text messages.

The system is like a queue list, once it gets to your name you get the text.
