Rickyerique 2 Posted October 18, 2012 I sent my case on the 25th and received my Bio for the 29th but I decided to go today and they were happy to assist me. So I got them done 11 days before my actual appointment. How long should I have to wait to hear an answer? I mean everything is going pretty fast, I thought it would take longer for bio
JoseG 383 Posted October 18, 2012 So you sent your application on the 25th of September and got your appointment for October 29th? You should post your timeline.
Sinae 21 Posted October 18, 2012 It took about a month for ppl who filed first, on the Aug. 15. There are only about 5000 people approved of the DACA. The proceeding time for the case is a little different even for the people who've gotten the biometrics on the same date depending on the USCIS center your case gets reviewed under and the official in charge of your case. I know you're excited for the fast processing time so far as to receiving the initial i797s BUT your case gets started reviewed after your biometrics. I can tell you that you won't get your EAD in a week like how you've recieved your biometrics appointment letter. Let's wait a little bit more patiently. itzel 336 Posted October 19, 2012 Sinae is right, it takes a while to get approved or hear anything about your case after you do your bio, regardless you did a walk in or adhered to the appoinment day.
C_Air23 32 Posted October 19, 2012 Yes, Also depends on how much evidence you have provided..the more you sent, the more chance your case gets approved faster.. 1 taramo35 reacted to this

Your case review really starts when the biometrics result come out. Hey Guys... I've just noticed, this is not a first come first serve.... Getting your biometrics earlier just means your case gets started reviewed earlier, but that doesn't mean you will get notified earlier. Every application gets reviewed case by case basis. The timed consumed to make final decision depends on the center your case gets reviewed under, the official in charge of your case, and most of all, your case. taramo35 27 Posted October 23, 2012 You are misunderstanding something big. No one got approved before the biometrics. It's because some people put on their DACA approval but I guess what they meant is Deferred action receipt ... So my concern is that they accepted my DACA but not yet my work permit and I heard others get both approved at the same time ... They approved me last Monday so it's been a week already ... Another question is .. Like how long was ur letter for the work permit ... What things did u put ( I know something's are personal) but I mean just in general !!???? >.< I'm not understanding what you're saying. Your I-821D has been approved but not your I-765? If so, give it a day or two. Yes! And I didn't think it was anything wrong with it , but I started asking others And they got both approved at the same time .and i checked my case for my work permit on Uscis and it hasn't move from initial review I'm not understanding what you're saying. Your I-821D has been approved but not your I-765? If so, give it a day or two. And how long was ur letter for the work permit? What things did u include ? I feel like maybe mine was too simple :/
JoseG 383 Posted October 23, 2012 Yeah, most people get both forms approved within one or two days of each other, but, USCIS has up to 90 days to give you a response on your I-765 form so maybe they are still looking over it. On the Additional Information part I just stated what some of my expenses where and who was paying for them. 1 taramo35 reacted to this

Once your i821D review gets finished, your i765 process starts. Although acceptance on the i821D doesn't guarnatee the acceptance on the i765. But my guess is most people applying for the i821D will be accepted on the i765, too, to be able to work because that's the initial intention of the government (let us work, collect tax, and boost up the economy). That's a good thing if you feel like your i765ws was too simple because that's perfect. You don't need to exaggerate anything or state explanation. 'I would like to be able to work to support myself." is perfect. For me, numbers I put on the i765ws are much different than most of the people because I tried to run my own business, but the part.3 was just a simple sentence. 1 taramo35 reacted to this

rodt15 0 Posted November 9, 2012 Honestly I dont know what the next step is for me. I am waiting for something to arrive in the mail. I want to know if anyone in Florida knows about how long it takes until you actually get your Work Permit. I just want to know the basic time frame, I've been waiting for a month since my biometrics and I do not know how much longer it will be until I move on to the next step To me the website is useless, it still tells me im in initial review which doesnt make any sense because i have already done my biometrics
JoseG 383 Posted November 9, 2012 Your status will stay on initial review until you are approved or they send you an RFE. There's nothing you can do but wait.
MarioLC 9 Posted November 9, 2012 When I got approved, the status on website indicated that it could take up to 30 days for the card to arrive. But mine came in the mail soon after getting approved for both DA and for work authorization. Also, I got approved for my EAD first. Two days later I got a text letting me know that I had also been approved for my deferred action. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Date Application Sent: September 07, 2012 Lockbox: Chicago, IL Mail Method: USPS Flat Rate mail w/ delivery confirmation Date Delivered: September 10, 2012 Date of I-797 C Notice of Action: September 12, 2012 Service Center: Texas Date of Biometrics: Walk-in September 24th, 2012 @10:00am Date of EAD Letter/Email/TXT Approval: Oct. 24th at 3:45 PM Applied for SSN: Nov. 2, 2012 SSN Printout: Nov. 8, 2012
margarita3 0 Posted November 13, 2012 Hi everyone! I'm worrying about my deferred act case because I went to my Biometrics on Sep 28, here in the Dallas TX, and have not get any response yet. I checked the status of my case in the website and is under the initial review circle? Is anybody experiencing this? For those people that the process already got accepted, what did your case status was in the website after the Biometrics? Hope you all can help me with this because I am freaking out!
JoseG 383 Posted November 13, 2012 The Case Status doesn't change until you get approved/denied or RFE. It will stay on Intial Review from the time you get the two I-797C Receipts, to the time you get approved.

Selene21 2 Posted November 20, 2012 Hi my name is Erika. I submitted my paperwork in August 27. Today i called USCIS to see if i was able to get an update through them since i don't see anything happening only and it has been almost 90 days since i submitted my paper work. They informed me that USCIS has 90 days from the day they received my application to give me an answer on my work permit. If November 27 passes for me and i haven't received anything i need to call them and let them know so they can give me a provisional work permit. That will allow me to work legally until they reach a decision for my work permit case. To get an answer on the deferred action should take from 4 to 6 months. Hope this helps you. Good luck! 1 DarekG reacted to this
JoseG 383 Posted November 20, 2012 Unfortunately, this isn't true. You don't qualify for a work permit (EAD, I-765) without first being approved for Deferred Action (I-821D) The 90 day processing time for the I-765 doesn't apply to us because our I-765 application is based on our I-821D application, and since the I-821D application has a 4-6 month processing time, the 90 day processing time for the I-765 does not start until after you are granted Deferred Action, therefore, you are also not eligible for a provisional work permit in the mean time. If you were to be approved for the I-821D and 90 days pass by and you don't hear anything on your I-765, then you can call in and request a Service Request or a Provisional Work Permit. orozcomari 5 Posted November 20, 2012 Hi just to answer this question I actually got approved for the work permit first or atleast it was updated first. Than at night time the deferred action was approved. The case status changed to post decision activity on both I never saw it on decision. It went from initial review to the last bubble. hope this helps
punnysang 8 Posted November 27, 2012 My biometrics was 10/04 and my status is still stuck at initial review... I've been really stressed out about the outcome of this.. I applied from Los Angeles. Do you think it has to do with a lot of people applying from LA county? My attorney reassured me as well that it must be taking longer than other places because it's Los Angeles. Is this necessarily true? Your input would be much appreciated! Please reply away Also I had nothing sketchy about application. I graduated from a four year college in Dec 2010 and have no suspicious activities.
