Guest Posted April 20, 2017 Hi everyone, I just wanted to know if someone can help me with this question I have. My husband is a DACA Recipient and I am a US Citizen. We have been married for almost two years. I would like to start the legal process for him to get residency. I am just wondering what exactly are the forms that need to be filled out? Also, if anyone knows that the cost is for the forms that need to be filled out and an approximate time frame for the entire process. Thank you in advance. ViK 7 Posted April 20, 2017 You need to talk to an immigration attorney. Did your husband come to the US with a visa? if he didn't he should try applying for advanced parole.
Guest Posted April 20, 2017 He did not come with a visa. He came here when he was about 12. He applied for the DACA permit when it was introduced and he was able to obtain it. He is living in the US legally with a work permit. But I would like to get him residency so that he is able to travel outside of the US.
ViK 7 Posted April 21, 2017 He needs to apply for "Advanced Parole" leave to Mexico and come back. Talk to an immigration attorney.
