itzel 336 Posted July 31, 2012 Hi KokyAmador: I dont know what to tell you regarding you obtaining your criminal record, Even if you cant obtain your criminal record, when you apply, they'll be sure to find a way to obtain a criminal record, the best one being the FBI. They'll try to find any info on you available all through the U.S. Dont worry, we'll all be going through this. Welcome to the forum and good luck.
KokyAmador 3 Posted August 1, 2012 so you telling me, you dont need to show your criminal record? i thought that was one of the requirements, to show your criminal record?
John89 11 Posted August 1, 2012 KokyAmador: What she's been trying to say is that you don't have to be looking for those records, at the time you go get the finger prints or any other type of background check is when they WILL find out what you have done. Hope this makes it clear for you!! Good luck & remember "In God We Trust!" 1 itzel reacted to this

Aled 118 Posted August 1, 2012 kokyamador: The way I see it, you're in one of those cases where the best thing you can do is to get yourself a lawyer. It's a risk if you've got a record. Get a lawyer he will asses your case and chances. Peace
bob 1 Posted August 2, 2012 http://www.criminaljustice.ny.gov/ojis/recordreview.htm This shows you what you have to do to request one. 1 Diana reacted to this
Diana 3 Posted August 10, 2012 I have a similar question to that, have not got an answer though. I also have a "cleared" offense, the judge said that if I payed a certain amount, the offense would not go in my record since I was underage back then, now I am 19 and the only bad thing I think could be on my record is getting a driving ticket. Anyone has more info regarding on this???
itzel 336 Posted August 10, 2012 Diana: I see a driving ticket as a driving offense, so heres some info from the USCIS website: If I have a minor traffic offense, such as driving without a license, will it be considered a non-significant misdemeanor that counts towards the “three or more non-significant misdemeanors” making me unable to receive consideration for an exercise of prosecutorial discretion under this new process? A minor traffic offense will not be considered a misdemeanor for purposes of this process. However, your entire offense history can be considered along with other facts to determine whether, under the totality of the circumstances, you warrant an exercise of prosecutorial discretion. It is important to emphasize that driving under the influence is a significant misdemeanor regardless of the sentence imposed. If its just a ticket..then its no biggie, they seem to make a bigger deal about DUIs..
