Should I get a lawyer or not?

Recommended Posts

Look over the forms, fill out as much as you can. If there is something you don't understand, search the forums or online, I'm sure someone has already asked it.

If you know you have a clean record and an easy case, there is no need for an attorney, they will just have the paralegal fill it out, and at this point, with the process being as new as it is, we probably know just as much as they do. Everything you need to know is on the USCIS website.

Of course, if you don't feel comfortable or capable of doing it by yourself, there is nothing wrong with getting help from an attorney.
