JoseG 383 Posted November 6, 2012 They'll just tell you that your case is in under review and that the expected processing time for the I-821D is 4-6 months and if you don't hear anything back by then, to give them a call again. pankaj 7 Posted November 7, 2012 hey guys i have called immigration about at least like 5 to 6 times about mah status..they told me for the work permit its about 3months and for DACA 4 to 6 months so i hope within this month i sud get sum as they said to me..? JoseG 383 Posted November 7, 2012 When someone applies for an I-765, USCIS has up to 90 days to give a decision on that application. In our case, we don't qualify for a stand-alone I-765, we first need to be approved on the I-821D before we are eligible for an EAD (I-765) therefore, that 90 day processing time for the I-765 doesn't start until your I-821D is approved, which isn't for 4-6 months.
