KokyAmador 3 Posted August 4, 2012 I read that we now have to provide our bionetrics and background check. Provide meaning like we have to do it ourselves and send it? Cause last time i was told, they were doing all that? And another thing is that now they said you have to be convicted in some crimeto not to apply.. So if you have couple misdemeneors but you were not convicted, you safe? This crap is tricky..
pswa83 302 Posted August 4, 2012 http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=f2ef2f19470f7310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=f2ef2f19470f7310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD this is from USCIS website. you dont need to provide the biometrics or background. what will happen is that after you send in you app, they will send you a letter saying where you need to go to have your finger prints taken, 2 Nuvi and itzel reacted to this
itzel 336 Posted August 4, 2012 Couldnt have said it better pswa83, I also think we need to mention that most likely we'll need a notarized and translated copy of our birth certificate. Im still working on getting mine...we'll see how it goes..do you remember the link yesterdays shared in the shoutbox that mentions this notarized/translated birth certificate? pswa83 302 Posted August 4, 2012 as far as the BC translation, all i did was just google birth certificate translation. there's a bunch of different ones that pop up. i guess it all depends on how much you want to pay. i'm going to try it on monday to see how it works. thinking if i had to go to the consulate, it would just take longer. (fingers crossed) Glad you guys find the link helpful
