LG718 1 Posted November 13, 2012 I'm still waiting to get approved as many of us are. Once approved and with a social security # will we be able to apply for school loans? The deferred action is valid only for 2 years with chance of renewal but was wondering if we will be able to qualify for loans. Does anybody have any input on this? pswa83 302 Posted November 14, 2012 as far as federal student loans, i dont believe that we will be able to because we will only have legal presence and not legal status. i know in CA, one can qualify for CAL grants and private scholarship money but not federal monies. i would ask the bank you do business with or maybe go to the financial aid department at the school you go to or want to go to and see what your options are. 2 Sinae and itzel reacted to this
Admin 174 Posted November 15, 2012 Federal loans, I believe you will not be able to receive or financial aid. However, you will be able to receive private scholarships. So there is some help.
