un deliverable mail

Recommended Posts

It should have been delivered properly... Did you move? No one has to sign for it, it should just arrive... Has all of your other mail gotten to you ok? And have you checked at your local post office yet? If you bring I.D. and explain the situation something maybe can be done!

if you received notice that USPS sent back your EAD, this means that USPS no longer has it and USCIS does. which means that you need to call USCIS and ask them to resend it. they will put in a request to the service center that your application is at. dont know how long it takes for the service center to sent it back to you but after you talk to USCIS, you will get a letter in the mail to confirm that USCIS sent the request to the correct service center.

you need to do this ASAP because USCIS only holds your EAD for 180 days before they destroy your EAD and then you will have to apply again as well as pay the $465 again.

This is a long shot but if USPS is saying that your address is undeliverable...maybe have you considered getting a p.o. box and getting it delivered there? just a thought..dont pay me too much attention...i may be talking out of my a**....

i think if you call again, what they might tell you is to make an appointment at a USCIS office in order to find out what's going on. they really dont tell you a lot on the phone, which i think is completely stupid, but yeah. so if you have a USCIS office close to you then i would make an appointment to see what's going on.

this link is to find a field office near you.

https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=LO

and this link is to setup an InfoPass appt. you'll need it for the appointment along with an ID.

hope it helps. :)
