Uclabeatsc: My license is valid for 5 years and my I.d is valid for 6 years.

I went to the compton dmv, and i applied for both the id and the dl.

the guy asked "which one do you want" as if you cant have both... I replied the dl.

I dont know if i did wrong or not, when asked about any other license i said no, but i have an expired Oregon dl that is real. i took the written & driving test there.

so far i got a dl application receipt, will go take the test soon and hopefully the driving test after i pass the written test.

I got my DL on the mail today.... took exactly 2 weeks 1 day....Valid for 5 years...

What state R u in? I passed the written exam and on the Instruction permit it says valid for one year only . ex. 01/01/13 to 01/01/14. is that how yours was?

To any one in Ca who has passed the written exam, I passed mines and they gave me a INSTRUCTION PERMIT and it says issued 5/7/13 and expires 5/7/14. My question is this, Is that date for that permit as in I have 1 year to do it or is that how long my DL will be valid?

There's a one time fee of $32 for the DL, which includes 3 chances to pass the written test and one driving test. If you fail the driving test, you have to pay $6 for another one.

I'm in the SF Bay Area. My DL expires on May 24, 2017. actually just got it in the mail yesterday.
